Product Description

Get three complete mat workouts in one DVD: a basic workout, an intermediate workout, and an advanced workout. Once you master the basic workout, progress to the intermediate level and finally to the advanced level as your core becomes stronger and your body more flexible. These routines may be performed daily, but working out at least three times a week will improve strength, flexibility, flatten and strengthen abs, and improve posture so you move with balance and grace. These workouts were developed and choreographed by two of Pilates elite instructors, Pilates expert Marjolein Brugman and Pilates Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska. Brugman and Kryzanowska lead you through each workout demonstrating the proper form that is essential to get results and prevent injury.

I've used this tape for many years and it's amazing. Be forewarned that this is not a glamorous tape but it gets the job done. There is a beginner routine that is about 5 min long, an intermediate section that is 15 mins and an advanced section that I've never tried. Start with the beginner section until those moves feel easy for you. When you move on to the next section and do it 3 times a week, within two weeks your body is re-shaped and your posture is greatly improved. For the first time in my life it was comfortable and easy to be in my body! I didn't drop many lbs with this video, but I looked like I did. My clothes fit differently and I just looked more streamlined overall. Anyone can do 15 minutes 3 times a week. This is the most results for the littlest effort I have ever found.

I watched my friend try the advanced section and it kicked her butt, so there is a challenge ahead if you choose to tackle it :)

I have several Pilates videos and this is one of my favorites. I have had private lessons, and this DVD is the closest thing to my lessons. It seems that the other Pilates videos are made by instructors who do not focus on Pilates primarily but are just making a video to sell. As a result, the correct form is not maintained. Sometimes, it is not Pilates at all.
