While some clubs charge only 30 a session, others ask 200.00!!!The machine is NOT like the ones at the club. The ropes are cheap, the loops dig into your legs or have a cheap velcro cover thing, the foot part is straight, not bent, not adjustable. The main problem I have is the CORDS are TOO weak. I have 4 bungee cords (not metal springs) and I am using 3 now, having started at 2. Also, the machine is a bit SHORT, and would not accomodate anyone over about 6 foot. The bars holding the ropes are a bit low on mine--I see this one has the rope on the floor...not ideal. All the parts are cheap--the padding is thin, the shoulder thingies are not padded enough, I think the ropes and cords will break rather quickly. IT IS HEAVY--unfolding it kills my back, lifting it..I keep it leaned against the wall, but it is still heavy. Oh,... This product costs less than 10 classes. It comes with a video that helps beginners use the equipment and a workout video. It was easy to put together, very little that needed to be done. It folds up easily and fits under my bed, this is the reason that I purchased this model. This feature made my husband happy. I use it regularly. Pilates on the reformer offers no/low impact and great strengthening of the core. There is a natural flow, very much like yoga. I have had the product for 3 weeks and it seems very durable. I also purchased the rebounder which provides a great heart pumping work out. This model has 3 cords instead of 4, but it looks like stonger cords can be added. The platform body is not very wide,not a problem for me, but should be checked to see if it will work for you. I give this 5 stars. I love it! |
